Hi again! Here is my latest set, a commission for Annette showing 2 scenes from Season 6 - hope you recognise them. They are designed as a pair and are meant to be displayed together. There are a lot of details that are echoed in both sets but with slight alterations due to events between the scenes. The bases started the same ( Lost figure) but Buffy's was made to look much muddier due to her struggle to climb out and the chaos that would have left all the earth churned up during Willow's spell. Willow's base lights up very slightly. I didn't want to get carried away with a light effect this time but it gives off a very subtle glow in the dark that I think is just right to show a 'hint' of magic! Willow - dst white witch willow head, hair shaved off completely.Lara croft arms, unknown hands, prom Buffy torso, boots unknown. I sculpted her shoulders, de'collete', legs, dress and hair. Also added a layer of sculpey to her forearms so i could make the ritual cuts. The gravestone on both was cast from a Buffy bust ( there is a change in colour of the lettering deliberately, death, life yadda, yadda and next to it the snake or plant- death, life symbols again!) Buffy's hole was made by cutting and melting and pushing down at the same time to give the look it was caving in on itself. Sculpey added all over both for grass and earth effect. Buffy - dst Chosen head, matrix girl hands,Beatrice Kiddo arms, unknown leg. Sculpted hair, dress, sleeves and under legs etc. Phew - enough of that, here's some photos!

WOW... Speechless... What a great set! Willow looks so good, I love the cuts in her arm, the paintapps are perfect, love all the blood and mud on her arms! Very well chosen parts, amazing details on that base, love the light up effect... really adds to the scene. Love Buffy, she looks so sad and worried, love how she comes out of her grave, the pose is really really well. Absolutely stunning. Totally crazy about the bases, the gravestones look perfect, great effect, also love all those wonderful details like the broken urn ect. Youre the master of the details

Best custom set....ever. omg. This is one of my favorite Buffy moments in the whole series. I love your details you put into your customs....everything about them is perfection. Annette is one lucky lady...quite frankly anyone who owns any of your customs is lucky. Fantastic work Sarah....really. Hopefully once I recover from buying my scythe replica an start buying again I could possibly afford one of your beautiful customs...I must have one in my collection!!

Brilliant set Willow is my favourite because the base is really amazing but my only critique is there's something about Willow's hair that looks off in places. Buffy's hair looks good because obviously she's all muddy anyway and her hair will be naturally bigger/messier but Willow's hair could have been doing with a few more hair 'details' I think in places. The only thing I can see that looks a little bit off with Buffy is maybe the arm you used (the matrix girl is switch as I also have this figure) that hand on the matrix figure was really chunky in places as I tried using that arm as well in a figure and it just looked too big. But everything else is wonderful as per usual I just love your bases so much! By the way, how did you get the 'glow' for the willow base? xx

The arms were from kill Bill Beatrix ( as listed at beginning) and it was only the hand touching the base that came from Matrix Trinity figure. They are all in perfect proportion with each other, perhaps camera phone doesn't show this properly? Not sure what you mean about Willow's hair either. What details do you mean? The light effect is just tinted red scenic water poured into cracks in the base.

Ah, no sorry I just meant the right hand on buffy (the one slightly pointing) you said you used a matrix girls hands & it just looked like the switch matrix hand. I'm not sure how to describe what I mean about Willows hair in the last couple of pictures you have displayed of Willow, the hair looks like it could have been doing with more hair details like more 'strands' put in with a toothpick or whatever you use sorry, I hope you don't think I'm being mean or picky... I'm honestly not trying to be xx

No that's fine Roadie, I do have issues with hair. I was just hoping you may be able to help me nail it once and for all. I often think I put too much detail in the hair strands so it starts to look ratty so I get very confused as to whether more or less is best. I always appreciate any pointers and didn't take it that way at all . I'm actually really pleased with the hair on both figures this time round xx

Hmmm... well regarding the hair, how do you like to sculpt it? Do you use the 'snake strands' if that makes sense? Or do you just apply sculpey in one go and add the details as you go along? Actually, looking at one of the pictures again, I think one of the problems I can see is it looks like the hair is broken off half way down some of the strands. The pic I'm most looking at is the one just before the picture of the 2 sets displayed together where you can see the back of the gravestone x x

No, the hair isn't broken at all, I think it's just the angle of the shot because it's looking up at her from below. The hair looks fine in person!

I love this set, smiler. It's such a clever idea. It actually gave me a shiver! So atmospheric. I love how feral Willow looks, in her pose and her face. I love the balance of the composition. And I love that Buffy is in an unusual position, climbing from the grave.

Amazing work. I love the expression on Buffy's face and her hair sculpt.
