It's London Toy Fair, and naturally Character Options have a few things to show... and... well...

Summary, big photos, etc.

So...

Prop replicas for props that don't actually come from the show.

Sound-chip additions to existing Daleks in the 5" range, and one new one which is a transparent old one.

And Character Building mini-figures for the Doctor in his green coat, Madame Kovarian, a Handbot, and another two versions of Rory when the main 5" range still doesn't seem to have one.

Yeah, pretty annoying they are neglecting the 5" line now. The very least they can do is another wave with Rory and maybe green coat Doctor and some villains, maybe new S6 River.

I mean if CO plan to put the line on hold till the show is back in Fall why not finish it properly? ::)

Unless they plan making Rory an SDCC exclusive.

Awesome Lior. My classics collection is still pretty small. I have a LOT of catching up to do.

I fell behind too. I haven't gotten any classics since Leela this summer. The problem is these sets are expensive and I'm not interested in every figure in them...combine that with, their mass, sudden release and my newer interest in the MOTU Classics line and they are lower on my priority list. But I do want to pick up a few of them.

I haven't even bought any Classics since Leela came out. Here is my little group:

Really want to get some more of the bigger sets like the Sontaran ship & Fendahl.

And did they ever get that River out with the fixed hair? Or is she still upcoming?

River was already released - not as a variant but as restocks. People who ordered from CO after the initial release got the new version.

She was also available in the 6 pack.

I'm trying to find a Rose figure that isn't expensive, I've looked at Amazon and its like $40 to 80 for her. I'm thinking about checking E-bay, Does any one know any body who is selling a Rose figure?

I think Rose was the first Who figure I bought back in the day. I recall paying atleast $20 for her.

Soo glad to have the new River....the old one looks pretty crappy by comparison.

As you can see I also got those little Character Builder figures with her....they really are cute & fun little figures. I think I'll have to get the Tardis Console Room playset now!

They are releasing a lot of fun characters in that series:

I love the CB range! I have most of the other two series in my office at work. I can't wait for series 3. I can't believe these little guys have become more exciting to me than the 5 inch line! I mean, let's face it, their series 6 selection was kind of lame. I only got the astronaut, a silent, Idris, and the ganger doctor (which I had to repaint). I was disapointed we didn't get Amy, Rory, roman Rory, River in green, the samurai Silurian, a ganger in acid suit, the siren, Mels, headless monk, minator, hand bots, and eye patch variants of the doctor, Amy, Rory, and River. Thr CB line is more complete and more affordable. :)

Here is a picture of my CB collection. As complete as I need and a special thanks to Madvicks for all the help in getting these little guys! :-*

Sorry about the quality, I took it with my phone.

Not really. We moved and I downsized my DW collection display. Most of my New Series figures are boxed up and about half my Classics are. I can clean up my display and take new pictures. I have it organized in a "chronological" order starting with the First Doctor going through the 11th with Doctors, Companions, Masters and a selection of bad guys to accent it.

Here is an updated picture of my CB collection:

Love your CB collection Jinxie! I was feeling a bit crazy a week or two ago & I actually bid £70 on a super rare River in the blue denim suit. Whilst I was the top bidder, I did not meet the reserve...so no super rare River for me.

Got in some new Classics today:

All really cool sets. Though paint work is a bit up & down. Poor Leela has a few stray marks & dents on her face. 4th Doc looks like he has a big coldsore or something on his mouth. But overall they are awesome. Adult Fendaleen certainly adds some size variety in the Classics display.

It's all gone very quiet again with the Who line, wonder if Jo will be the SDCC release? Really hope they have some major plans in place, but after the decline since Matt Smith came in, I doubt it.

Are you saying Matt Smith's Doctor is the cause of the decline?

I have absolutely noticed a difference in the quality, number of releases and odd choices since his reign started, but that is ALL CO's doing. Why have they simply not released cool characters? Why do they ignore half the plotlines? It's only 14 new eps a year! Why are important characters released a season late, or not at all *Rory*?

I get that the franchise is on a mini-hiatus due to the impending 50th anniversary and whatever other stupid reasons they can come up with, but the reason the toys aren't doing well anymore is because CO dropped the ball BIG TIME. They tanked their line, not Matt Smith. I will attribute half the blame to Moffat, though, as he's the one okaying stories with characters that don't lend themselves to toys (not that that's of top consideration, but it is important).

Sorry should have explained better, but basically I agree with what you have said - Matt Smith is great but poor choices from CO haven't supported his time as Doctor on the figure front. They had loads of time to be prepared for a massive launch and dropped the ball, and have continued to do it since. I still don't buy the excuse that 'the BBC tell us what to make' either.

I had thought the BBC would have imput in the toys...but I didn't think they would have total control. Wouldn't that be better left in the hands of a toy company??

My Pertwee bust arrived today. Very pleased with it; no paint issue and a much more even painting on the bust. Also they added a small layer of padding to the bottom of the base so it stands much more firmly. 8-)

Here are images of the box:

Here are few images of the bust on my display (taken with flash):

Overall, very happy with this bust. Pertwee is one of my favorite Doctors and I'm glad this bust was released.
